PLC control
A customer assigned us to optimize the control unit of an existing series machine in terms of performance and price.
Within this context the customer was very definite about wanting a Siemens S7-PLC.
It was our task to find as economic a solution as possible; and one that would still meet the very high requirements in terms of performance.
One of the challenges was the control of 4 servo axes and 4 further actuators, which would have to be controlled in real time.
Outsourcing the control tasks to the drive level was not an option for cost reasons.
And therefore it was a question of only optimizing the PLC control unit and its programming code.
As a result of uncompromising code optimization and positioning components that were exclusively developed for this task, we were able to finally meet the requirements to 100%.
